We are currently looking to fill a cashier/order processing position. We are looking for efficient and courteous team members with excellent customer service skills. Team member will scan the customer’s selections, ensure that prices and quantities are accurate, accept payments, issue receipts, answer inquiries, and provide helpful information about products and item locations throughout the store. You will also respond to complaints, process refunds or exchanges of items, and maintain a clean workspace. You should have a strong work ethic and high level of accuracy to succeed as a Cashier. You should be responsible, attentive to customer needs, and committed to providing excellent customer service. 

Responsibilities:

  • Welcome customers

  • Answer customer questions

  • Answer incoming calls

  • Direct customers to product locations

  • Operate scanners, scales, POS cash registers, and other electronics.

  • Responsible for closing out the register at the end of the night, including cash, credit and debit sales. 

  • Accept payments and provide receipts to customers upon request

  • Process refunds and exchanges, resolving complaints and taking criticism without reacting negatively.

  • Bag customer purchases to ensure safe transport.

  • ID customers who are buying alcoholic beverages

  • Maintain a clean workspace, stock and clean when not tending to customers at the counter

  • Check in and process orders upon request

  • Other duties upon request

Required Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

  • Customer service or cashier experience preferred 

  • Ability to handle transactions accurately and responsibly.

  • High level of energy with strong customer service skills.

  • Basic math and computer skills.

  • Ability to stand, walk, lift heavy items, and work with other team members in a fast-paced environment

  • Attention to detail.

  • Helpful, courteous approach to resolving complaints.

  • Hourly wage: $16.90 an hour plus generous customer tipping (up to 20% per transaction)
